快乐的旅居生活虽然告一段落，但是小伙伴们久久不能忘怀西雅图或伦敦的种种美好，大家回到家纷纷拿起笔来记录那些精彩的片断和我们共同分享。现在就来看看我们最终评出的2016美伴征文大奖！

    7岁的Sula今年暑假和妈妈一起参加了一周西雅图夏令营+一周黄石公园游览，摘黑莓、玩水枪、观老忠实火山喷泉，这是一段令她难忘的旅程。年仅7岁的孩子对文字的驾驭能力如此之强，实在让人赞叹！

                        My Amazing Summer Vacation in Seattle

I had an amazing summer vacation in Seattle. This trip makes me feel happy because every afternoon I played happily with my friends in different places. But on the first few days I was a bit worried because on the first day I didn’t have any friend and I was not used to the area. But later I got many friends and knew a lot more about the place. There are a few funny activities that I want to share with you, including picking cranberries, playing water guns and visiting Yellowstone Park.

I will tell you about my experience of picking cranberries first. This was my first time to pick cranberries and I thought it was extremely stupendous to do this kind of activity. Usually people just buy cranberries, but we didn’t, we thought buying it would be easy but picking it would be challenging and funny. We went to a big bush full of cranberries around. I can’t wait to go in the bushes when I saw it. My mom passed around the plastic bags for us to hold the cranberries. Then we put on our gloves in case our hand got hurt. We went happily skipping to the cranberries. The cranberries almost looked like strawberry but it was just smaller. The soft ones were sweet, but the hard ones were not. I was so happy that I didn’t even know when the time passed. I thought this experience was fabulous and I would like to do it again.

During the trip playing water guns was one of my favorite activities. This is how the game works: boys are on one team and girls are on the other. First, you fill your guns with cold water. Second, think of a sneaky plan with your teammates to win the boys. Third, START SHOOTING! This game is awesome because it is safe to play and at the same time it’s a good game to have fun. It’s safe because the area is very big and soft, the equipment is made out of plastic so if you bump into it, it won’t hurt much. But I think we should make an improvement on it by giving us a longer time because we didn’t even have time to finish it.

The second week we went to Yellowstone Park to see the amazing animals and the stupendous water. I love everything at Yellowstone Park. We saw wolves in a telescope and some deer. Also, we saw the small volcano explode. The volcano looks like a mountain with smoke coming out of it. Each time the smoke gets higher and higher and HIGHER! But the bad thing about it is that each time the smoke coming out of it has a rotten egg smell. (EWW) Everybody surrounded the volcano and took pictures. It was a very unique and marvelous sight to see.

This summer vacation is such a great adventure. I got new friends and experiences. I’m looking forward to going back there again.
